behind the method
i’m a self-taught project manager who thrives where user experience, writing, design, and marketing intersect. With a background in medical anthropology, i understand people and systems—how they connect and how to make them work better together. i’ve built my PM skills through hands-on projects and IT project management courses, owning workflows that demand creativity, collaboration, and strategic communication.
startups and early-stage teams are my forté. i create flexible, user-focused systems that keep everyone aligned without killing creativity. whether it’s launching marketing campaigns, managing design sprints, or coordinating cross-functional teams, i keep communication sharp, workflows smooth, and projects rolling.

Manzil (flagship case study)
overview, meet Manzil
Manzil is a start-up consulting firm targeting Pakistani students interested in coming to the US pursuing higher education on student visas, standing out with its client-first approach. the Manzil journey supports client from school and visa application through settling in their new city.
my role
i wasn’t handed a project, i built one. Manzil started as a passing idea in a conversation, and i took it seriously. there were no documents, no structure, no plan– just a vague sense that something meaningful could exist. i shaped that something. i developed the concept alongside the founder, clarified its purpose, and slowly built out the systems to hold it. i created the project roadmap, defined roles, set priorities, and introduced tools to keep things moving. i wrote timelines, initiated check-ins, and translated our big-picture hopes into concrete steps.
my role is part strategist, part organizer, part emotional anchor. i didn’t just manage the work, i gave it form. i’ve made sure we have a foundation strong enough to support what we’re trying to build, even as the vision continues to blossom.
my team
doa: project manager, operations lead, brand organizer, and designer (handling project planning, client intake documents, LinkedIn and website setup, brand tasks, and visual design guidance)
mahnoor: client relations and public face of Manzil
the challenge
Manzil started as a strong vision but lacked the structure and clarity needed to move forward. without defined processes, timelines, or accountability, it was easy for ideas to drift without real progress. the challenge was to build a framework from the ground up: organizing tasks, setting clear goals, and creating a roadmap to turn concept into reality.
my approach
▻project planning
built the project framework alongside the co-founder, defining key priorities and goals
created essential documents including client intake forms and brand task lists using Google Docs
organized tasks, timelines, and deliverables in Monday.com to keep everything on track
broke work into manageable phases to maintain steady progress
▻communication & coordination
led weekly async check-ins to keep the project aligned and moving forward
managed client intake workflows and documentation to ensure smooth onboarding
directed brand-related tasks and coordinated design efforts through clear to-do lists
▻tools used
Monday.com for task management, timeline tracking, and workflow visualization
Google Docs for drafting client intake forms and operational documents
LinkedIn for building and managing the company’s professional presence
hands-on brand coordination and visual guidance
▻project tracking
used Monday.com boards to monitor daily progress and update priorities dynamically
scheduled milestone reviews to assess brand assets, client processes, and operational goals
adapted timelines and workflows as the project evolved and new challenges arose
